Those who can see the beach from their accommodation you know which way to head.
If you are a bit further out from the beach in Pattaya the easiest ways to get here is by bus, taxi or motorcycle taxi.
If you're within walking distance it’s pretty easy to get your bearings and there are plenty of people around to ask if you need any directions.
Jomtien Beach is also spelt Chom Thian and Chom Tian on many road signs.
Sunbathing at Jomtien Beach
There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols along the beach and cost a small fee for visitors to use.
The beach itself is very long and you can also just find your own spot of paradise with towels and set up camp for the day.
Swimming is recommended in the designated areas, this is for safety reasons as there is a lot of boat traffic here.
Food and Drink at Jomtien Beach
A cool box is a good way to go, ideal if you are within walking distance to the beach and don’t want to be going back and forth to shops or carry money with you.
Along the beach road you have many bars, restaurants and shops so you are never far from a bite to eat.
